Payments

​

The following list shows the unique cost for each level of education Cyfanwedd provides via online sessions:

 

Key Stage 2 (KS2): £20 per hour

Key Stage 3 (KS3): £22 per hour

Key Stage 4 (GCSE): £24 per hour

A-Level (AS/A): £27 per hour

Further Education (University/Degree): £30 per hour

 

If you have booked tutoring sessions in-person and the tutor is required to travel within the Cardiff City Area, an additional £5 is payable on top of the specific education level cost. Furthermore, if you live further outside the Cardiff Municipal Area (Penarth, Dinas Powys, Taff’s Well and Caerphilly are exempt), the tutor will negotiate an additional fee depending on transport and other costs personally.

 

An automatic email will be sent immediately after the lesson - and a week later - to remind you to pay, whether the payment has been received or not. This ensures that our customers arereminded, but if you have any queries or uncertainty, you can email the tutor personally regarding the payment, or to check if it has been received.

 

If no payment is received within a week, additional interest may be payable, unless there are extraneous circumstances for the delay. If you have any doubts about the payments, feel free to contact us on this email.

 

In order to maintain consistency, payment must be made by direct debit, but you do not need to set up a weekly payment, in case payment is delivered without a lesson taking place. Use the following details to pay any tutoring fees:

Cancellation

In the event that a customer needs to cancel the tutoring, it must be at least 24 hours before the start of the tutoring session. If that is not possible, the tutoring fee will need to be paid in full, unless affected by extraneous circumstances. Please confirm the fee payable in the “Payments” section of the policies. Cancellation can be done on the website, or by directly contacting the tutor.

 

In the event that a tutor needs to cancel the lesson, no fees will be payable. In addition with the exception of serious circumstances, if a tutor cancels the lesson within 24 hours of the start, there will be an option for customers to receive an offer of half-price on their next tutorial; within the tutor’s schedule.

 

Feedback

At Cyfanwedd, we are keen to improve our service in any areas that need it. All customers are very welcome to give feedback for the benefit of the company or an individual tutor via this email. Within reason, any feedback is recorded by the company, so please ensure your feedback is polite and constructive.

 

Additional Services

​

Throughout the academic period, Cyfanwedd provides additional resources which are available on request. Some of these resources are part of the regular service (such a worksheets, random questions, etc.) But, some resoruces, for example Cyfanwedd exam papers, will include additional costs. You can ask for any resources you require from the tutors.

 

In addition, around exam time, some of our teachers provide group revision sessions at the National Library in Cardiff or similar. Cyfanwedd advertises these within a month or two before the day, and you will be asked to book a place in advance at a specific price.
